How do I know if my company has integrity?”

Our afternoon Leaders call was full of powerful information about why you need to read your company Policies & Procedures.
In many years in network marketing, we’ve learned the #1 feature you must have in place for success:

Company management experience with integrity.

People ask me all the time, “How do I know if my company has integrity?”

The answer is simple: read your company Policies & Procedures. If you can’t find them on the website, it’s a big red flag. Some companies say you can’t read them until after you join. Big red flag.

Why are they ashamed of their P&Ps? Why don’t they want you to read them? The P&Ps are YOUR contract to be in business with them – written by the company lawyers! Every time any distributor ever gets a termination letter, it says, “You have violated the Policies & Procedures.” They never say you violated “Terms & Conditions.” It’s always “Policies & Procedures.”

Most reps never actually read their P and P’s. You need to do it … it may really open your eyes. At least you’ll know exactly what to look for and how to protect yourself.

This article is for those who have been in Network Marketing for some time and find that they keep hitting road blocks or obstacles that prevent them from moving forward. If you have a team, these exercises I would recommend you have them do in order to know who is serious and who isn’t. These little secrets are what I have picked up along my journey to success and I have applied to my organization to help those who truly wants and deserves success.

Secret One:
Professionals get paid. Amateurs do not.

Performance step; amateur activities.

Please list the amateur activities which, up to now, you have been engaged on a daily basis.

Record the following commitment:

Until I have prospected__________ new affiliates and./or_______new customers each day, I will not engage in any amateur activities.

Get Daily Updates For the first 30 days.
To Find out who a Person “REALLY ” is.

This should be emailed to your sponsor on a daily basis for the first 30 days.

1) What I did today and what results I got.
2) Problems or challenges that came up
3) Questions That I have.

Sponsors should read them as well and respond accordingly

Secret Two:
Rich Networks work harder than Amateur Networks

-at least two hours a day.

ex: two hours before the day or before you go to bed.

Performance:

Purchase a calendar and record the numbers of hours you will work sponsoring and retailing each day for a month. This will show you those hours.
During those hours, turn off all distractions.
At the end of the day, review your activities to make certain you worked the plan.

Three:
Rich networkers are proud of Network Marketing. “Amateurs are not.”

Performance step.

One page essay entitled:
Why I’m Proud to Be a network Marketer.
read your essay each day until you believe in it.

Four:
Rich Networkers are motivated by “no Limits” Amateurs are focused on fringe accomplishments.
Focus on earning bigger checks, not on achieving higher pin levels.

Performance Step:

Establish a one-year financial goal for your business that will allow your family to enjoy life.
Write it down.

Five:
A rich networkers philosophy is “success through elevating others.
An amateurs philosophy is “only the fittest survive.”
Find one person and help them to get to the top.

Six
A Rich networker measure success based on both return on investment an monthly income.

Seven
Rich networkers have a simple three word strategy for success:

Just Don’t Quit.
Amateurs self sabotage before the finish line.

Write a one page essay entitled “Why I Just Won’t Quit!’
Have it edited and framed. Place it next to your essay entitled why you are a Proud Network Marketer.
Get your team to do this and have them submit it.

We are looking for business partners.
Learn to be a great pointer. (pointing people to websites or to calls)

This will free up time and we all know how precious our time is.

MLM Basics – How not to sell.

So you have a Home Based Business. Now what do you do? Your Sponsor tells you to go out and SELL your opportunity. Right?  Don’t do it… The reason is this. Ask yourself if someone approached you like you are taught to approach others, would you like it? I don’t think you would. It is because 92% of the population today do not like to be sold. So why sell them.

When you begin a home business there are some skills you will need to learn outside of the companies way of doing business. The company can show you the products and marketing plan, however you need to learn the mlm basics of building a business. Your sponsor may have a duplicatable system in place to help you find people to talk too, however people are your product. You will have to learn how to talk with people, what to say, how to say it and become a good listener of your prospects.

There will be obstacles that will get in the way of learning how to build a home business. Let me share with you a few tidbits that I have learned along the way that will cut your learning curve down and save you some time.

Second is that you will have to learn how to manage your time. Your most valuable asset is your time, so learn to effectively use it. When learning a new skill, make sure there are NO distractions so that you can focus your time effectively.

Third, master the art of advertising one method at a time. Become good at one thing before moving onto something new. This will cut down the confusion of what you should be doing.

Fourth, Learn to tell stories, Stories do the selling for you. You do not have to be a product expert to share a product with a customer. Share your experience and point them to a place to read about a product.

Fifth, Learn the skill of listening. People want to be heard and if you learn this skill, you will see a major increase in your sales, because your prospect will feel you care.

Building an MLM Business is work. It has become a profession that many professional people are looking into as a way to become financially free. Everyone from stay at home moms and dads to professional people, attorney’s, doctor’s etc are joining a home based MLM business today. They know it is not a selling business. Leadership — It Begins with Clearing the Mind

What is the greatest leadership challenge of all? It is Choice.

Consumers are overwhelmed by choices. Have you tried to buy a new computer lately? So many manufactures with several different makes and models to choose from. Then to top it all off, you must choose between Dual processors, how many gigs of ram, and so on.

Leadership is no different. It starts first with the choice of wanting to be a leader. Titles or positions do not make you a leader, it’s a personal choice. Once you make this decision, you must look at yourself. Look at your skills and abilities. This is both physical and emotional abilities too. Also, you need to look at the opportunities in your work place. There will be a number of directions you can begin to lead yourself and others if you look for them. You must determine what is your priorities and a course of action. Then you must ACT!

People come into my mentoring program and expect to be the expert. They are not in a leadership position nor do they hold a leadership title in their organizations. They know in their heart that they have more to give, but isn’t quite sure how to go about it. I tell them they had already taken the first step by looking for a mentor. Someone who will guide them to where they want to be.

It all begins with clearing the clutter in the mind. Once you are able to identify what it is the is holding you back, then you can proceed to creating an action plan and acting on it. This will have the greatest impact on the organization.

Above all other things in life, you have a choice. It’s what you do with your time that counts. Working with a mentor, someone who will show you what is needed to reach the success you are after, is a key component to Your success. NO one can become a leader on their own. You have to develop the skills and follow in the footsteps of people who have been there and done the work.

There’s an exhaustion factor that kicks in when somebody signs up to join your MLM company, especially if they’ve been thinking about it for awhile. When they commit their time and dedication to your opportunity, they know it is a hard thing to do.

The problem is, they feel they don’t have to do anything else. They finally committed, now their done. To get them to do the business and participate is the most important MLM sponsoring secrets.

There is Tons of excitement up to this point. Learning about your opportunity, looking at others, figuring out which is best for them. Then making the decision and committing to it. So Now, it’s like they’re done.

They receive literature from the company, emails from you, and none gets opened. The excitement just doesn’t carry over to actually building the business from their first decision to build it.

How and what can you do to avoid this?

Tease them. Yes that’s right. Send them and email as soon as they sign up, with why they joined. What they told you they were looking for. Tease them about what to expect. Inform them on how they will have dozens of people who will be calling on them because they will become the leader that others is looking for. Help them to feel the excitement they are about to get into .

Remind them of why they made this decision and keep their goals and dreams in front of them whenever you can. Get them excited about doing the business.

Help them to get focused on a whole different kind of excitement. The excitement of helping people come through that decision process. Discuss with them what it is they think is will be a fun and exciting way to build their business. Walk them through the many different options of building a business. Share with them different ways that you build your business. Share the different marketing materials and how to best use them in the market place.

Help them to connect with their passion and help them to tap into that passion. Write down a bulleted list of candidates to talk to about their new business.

One of the most critical MLM sponsoring secret is to make this opportunity something they’d NEVER give up on. Have them to make a lifetime committment to the business.

Don’t believe this deal is done just because they have signed up and gone on a monthly easy ship program.  It is critical that you work with that new person until you have helped them to sponsor their first few new reps into their business. Then you will have duplicated your efforts and begin to build a team. Get them excited and keep them excited.

MLM Prospect, But Employee Mindset

I saw a comment from a successful internet marketer this week that I think is very important to consistently remind yourself of.

Almost everybody we talk to about network marketing is an employee. They come from an employee mindset. Very few are actually business owners.

The employee mindset is: “OK. I really want to be successful on my own. I don’t want to have a boss. I want to make more money. What do I do?”

The employee mindset is NOT: “OK. I’m going to work this out for myself and come up with my own business plan.”

And the point this guy was making is, the most important word when you are talking to a prospect is “system.”

You’ve got to give them a step-by-step system. They have to see a system that can work for them. You have to show them how it has worked for others, and you have to show them, step-by-step, exactly what they will do with it.

But it’s more than just that. Your prospect not only has the opportunity to use a system that is tested and proven to work, but they also have the opportunity to talk to their prospects about that tested, proven system – which every prospect needs and wants. It’s really important. That is exactly what this guy is talking about.

You need to hammer prospects about the system. I mean, REALLY hammer them on this. Most prospects think, “Oh, this company has a great product. That’s what I need.” Or, “Oh, I’m personally sponsored by the heavy hitter. That’s what I need.” Or, “It’s been proven that this compensation plan pays out 80%, and over 90% of the people who use it are successful.”

NO NO NO

I would recommend that Most prospects use the Success In 10 Steps ebook to have success, but some won’t. Everybody knows that a new person needs a tested, proven system to start with. If you can find a better, tested proven system, fine. I have used this one for 5 years, and it constantly produces the targeted leads I want.

That’s what those with the “employee mindset” need more than anything – good prospects to talk to. Just getting a few really targeted prospects a week can change their lives.

System? Yes. Use it. And talk to your prospects about it. Believe me, they know they need it.

To build your own big income in M-L-M, the people you sponsor will need a constant stream of hot prospects. Make sure you have a Proven Duplicatable System in place. It will make all the difference in your success.
